It improves competitor, spectator, and participant awareness of activities, time estimates, and results. It also supports various clubs and related organizations for membership and tracking purposes. Any user can view the status of any ring, bracket, or results. All activity related information is public and may include other content like photos, videos, and links to other websites. For various events, both brackets and results are recorded for posterity and may also be aggregated for organizational rankings. Your location, potentially inferred from your internet connection may be used to provide you geographic specific information, such as nearby clubs or events. This Privacy Policy describes how and when EventsReg collects, uses and shares your information when you use our Services. EventsReg receives your information through our various websites, SMS, APIs, email notifications, applications, buttons, widgets, and ads (the "Services" or "EventsReg") and from our partners and other third parties. For example, you send us information when you use EventsReg from our website, our partners may send scoring results, images or video taken during presentation or matches. When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Additional Information: You may provide us with profile information to make public, such a profile picture. You may provide information to customize your account, such as a cell phone number for the delivery of SMS messages. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services or to market to you. If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request. If you connect your EventsReg account to your account on another service in order to cross-post between EventsReg and that service, the other service may send us your registration or profile information on that service and other information that you authorize. We reserve the right to provide your contact information to event promoters using the EventsReg system. Other Third-Parties: EventsReg uses a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services, such as hosting our various blogs and wikis, converting brackets and match sheets into PDFs, sending electronic messages, and to help us understand the use of our Services, such as Google Analytics. These third-party service providers may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address. Information Sources The information collected and used on this website is user entered and not specifically monitored by EventsReg. This may mean that you personally did not interact with our system, but someone did on your behalf. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EventsReg for any information posted by others on your behalf. See modifying personal information below. Information Sharing and Disclosure We do not disclose your private personal information except in the limited circumstances described here. Your Consent: We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your EventsReg account. Event Staff: We provide this service to improve event management. Access to personal information is required for the staff to adequately perform their tasks. Event Promoters: Within competition circuits in which you competed, email addresses may be provided to promoters to inform you of upcoming events. Or equivalently, EventsReg may email you directly to inform you of relevant activities. Spectators: We provide this service to improve the event experience for all participants. Any information you upload, e.g., name, state, country, club affiliations, and any photos may be used to enhance the event experience. We will do our best hide (i.e., not publish) information such as date of birth to people not involved in the operation or execution of the event, but general age ranges (e.g., 6-7, 8-9 are implicit in the divisions) and cannot be avoided. Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in the United States and abroad. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions. Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect EventsReg's rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information. Business Transfers: In the event that EventsReg is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. Non-Private or Non-Personal Information: We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your public user profile information or the number of users who clicked on a particular link. Modifying Your Personal Information If you are a registered user of our Services, we will provide you with tools to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account. You may also permanently terminate your EventsReg account. However, this will not remove any event related information in which you might have played a part. E.g., destruction of historical data, such as brackets in which you may have competed or photos including your likeness, will not occur. Our Policy Towards Children Our Services necessarily require us to interact with the data of persons under 13 years of age in order to facilitate event management. We strive to make available only the information that is public in the event venue, which may include identifying, gender, event age, weight range, images or event video of the child. Changes to this Policy We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time and without notice. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://www.eventsreg.org/privacy. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via an email to the email address associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy. Language This policy is written in English with a reference translation in another language (if necessary).
